User's Guide - Class Guilds

Although there are no mandated character classes/professions in Arcanity, you will have to have good standing with a class guild in order to train skills and abilities.

To be in good standing with a guild, your skill set must adhere to their guidelines. For example, the cleric guild may require that you not be skilled in the use of swords before they will teach you the ways of body magic. And a wizard guild would likely not teach you any significant spells if you are already a master at hand to hand combat. It is rumored there are outcast trainers that may have looser requirements, but there will be a price to pay in dealing with these shady individuals.

Some guilds may also require payment or require you to prove your worthiness before they are willing to train you.

It may be possible to unlearn a skill if you want to change your skill set, but this is a black art and not much is known about the process.

Note: Currently guilds are waiving their standing requirements, so enjoy it while it lasts.
