What's funny is... the subject line. I clicked on the field to write a subject, of which I didn't know what I was going to write... truthfully I was just going to start on my normal babble about online roleplaying games with a hint of it perhaps getting me into beta for this game (yes, I read the post about the big revamp). Anyways... something I typed on one of the trading boards for Asheron's Call popped up. Hilarious.

So now that I read about the big revamp... what is there to comment on?

Well first of all I agree that every singly piece of clothing or item that you equip onto your character should be seen. "I equipped a Might Ole Frost Sword, I did, I swear." Pfft.

But I didn't really... get my skirt blown up with this:
Cataclysm refers to the name of a spell that the last wizard in existence cast in the middle of New York City sometime in the near future. The spell destroyed the modern world and most of it's population and transformed it into a medieval fantasy world where magic and mysticism will grow once again. Players enter this medieval fantasy world, now known as Novus, several hundred years after the cataclysm.

So... what now? I understand there are Akazi, alien cartoon looking characters... mixed with minotaurs and elves? I'm not quite sure what to make of this gaming experience yet. From the FAQ I got a broad, non-unique view of this game. But I am holding off because I understand that this game is early in development and still needs to carve itself out of the woodwork of exactly what it will actually be.

Well,m I recomend that you look at the screen shots posted on the web site and read more of the old message board topic. They explain the game and what it looks like, etc, etc. If you were to do that, you might realize that the game as an idea ROCKED! I think that backed up by the combat and graphics engines, along with wolrd generator(all done from scratch, I might ADD!) do a DAMN good job of brgining you right into their world. Aworld of things that none of us have ever seen, but some how has come to exist. I have a feeling even the Brick house crew didn't know what Novus was going to look like! I particularly like the politics included in the game. It's not necessary to participate in the politics, but it adds to the realism and make me drool. I wish I had an internet connection I could use to try it!!!!

First of all, welcome.
I dont see what you mean by not unique. I feel this is the most unique game out there.... or at least it was when it started.
