Or should it be camping for Pkillers (I can never get that straight). My first question concerning the game is how the "creatures" will be spawned into the game. If the spawning is always in one area/zone this will lead to camping which I can do in front of my TV instead of fighting for that perfect 1 foot by 1 foot piece of land within the game. My next question is on pkilling. Will it be handled like EQ or do you have something else in mind?

There are no stitic spawns in the game. In fact, the AI is being developed that the mobs will gather and make a camp, after awhile the camp becomes a village and so on. Mobs will try to ambush you intelligently. The won't just be standing in the smae spot every time you log on. Each mob will be unique in its own way.
I hope I got that right....

If that's the case then they have a good thing going. Some of the best times I had was on ultima online when a gm created a group of "badies" and attacked the castle. Word got out and low and behold we had us a war! Just hope they able to pull it out.

Yes It is one of my pet peeves, static spawns. I HATE camping.

Freejack, there is much information in the "Game" section that will probably answer many of the questions you might have, and if you scroll down on the Home page, you can probably find links to the interviews, which are very helpful as well.
Static spawning will NOT happen in Arcanity. In fact, whole groups of creatures will move about, create camps and fortresses, just like real life.
As for the PKilling, it will not be artificially constrained. If you kill someone in the middle of town square, you're gonna get beat down by a mob of guards. If you murder someone in a more secluded location, and you are found out to have murdered the person, a bounty could be placed on your head, and you will be hunted down. If you kill someone and noone figures out "whodunit," so to speak, then you are scot free.

RE being able to put a bounty on the head of someone who PKills you, the docs mention that the townsfolk (sheriff and what-not) won't allow you to place said bounty if nothing really happened. If the PK happened in a remote location, I think it would be interesting if being able to place a bounty came down to a charisma/faction (for lack of a better word) issue.
And of course, if someone corroborates your tail of a PK and they have decent charisma/faction as well, it would increase your chances of being believed.
Then again, that might get tricky because it makes it tempting to let high charisma characters report a PK which didn't happen.
