OPEN: trouble purchasing items

I finally scraped together enough coin to buy an item. I went to the merchant and they would not accept the typed line I attempted. I tried many different variables but nothing would allow me to purchase anything.

/merchant buy <itemname>

I tried the item name, then included the price, and finally the "- " in front of the item name. I double and triple checked my spelling but I continued to get the Don't have that item message.

At first I tried for clothing thinking VillagerPants would help my defence, then I went for the Club.

Currently, you have to type the item name exactly, including capital/lowercase letters (yeah I know). So it would be:

/merchant buy Club

or

/merchant buy VillagerPants

I have tried that and I get the message "I don't have that item" even though it stated it is in it's inventory a few line above.

I was careful to type in exactly what was printed in the reply from the Merchant. I double and tripple checked my input values.

I am at the correct merchant for the items in particular.

Weird, I went in and tried it once more and it finally worked although I had typed the same command in half a dozen times before.

Was having same problem but realized my caps button was on. Letter dont show as caps unless you hit shift. turned caps lock off and worked fine
