I've just recently (finished about 1 minute ago) going through every post on every thread so I can put together a FAQ on the game. I am now going to grab all the interviews and stuff and will combine everything together and shake out a FAQ. So Stay tuned....

you go do that, and i'll help you become a leader of Novus, along as you dont turn me into Ubik-on-a-stick.....

Wrentia you truly ARE a godess! We must look aweful not already having put an extensive FAQ together ourselves. I hope no one loses faith in us and I sincerely hope everyone understands that the reason we're so far behind on the site is that we've really been quite busy with so many other things. Thanks again Wrentia!

Very nice Wrentia.

I have divided the FAQ up into 12 sections. 9 of those sections are complete. The three remaining sections are Combat, NPC's and Monsters, and Magic System. I hope to complete these either over the weekend or early next week. The 9 completed sections are awaiting Rolfe's approval. These three sections will probably be the biggest in the FAQ. Its about 26k of pure text right now, and will probably be around 50k when finished.
Just thought I'd keep you all updated.

Wish the e-mail feature worked ;)
Wanted to offer my services if there's any way I can assist.. I code PHP/Perl/SQL stuff... can make you some cool interfaces for maintaining the FAQ.. or just make it easier for people to read. (Or both)
Something like an interface for you to just type in the updates.. and then it adds/removes/modifies as you desire. (Maybe impliment version control as well) Could save you a lot of time coding that pesky HTML :)
Of course, the above depends on if it's going on Brick House Trading's web server or not. If it is, I'd have to check with them on
A) whether they'd be OK with my doing it (they'd probably want to review my code.. but beyond that)
B) what SQL server it's running and such as that.
If it's not going to be hosted off their site and you need hosting, I can also help you out with that off my service. (Unless you wanted to buy a domain, we could do something like arcanity.sdhosting.com as the URL)
Of course, if that started using a notable amount of bandwidth, I'd have to stick a 'hosted by' link off the web page.
Anyway, let me know if you can use my help.. I'll be heading out of town, but will still be around computers fairly often.
email me at: fredrick@sdhosting.com.

Thumps up you to you Wrentia, good going. It would be nice to have it here on site, but it could be linked as well.

I agree with Rolfe.
It would take a devine being to finish such an undertaking.

Wrentia, how is this FAQ business going? If you want help with it I'd be happy to look over what you've done so far. I have an eye for inconsistencies and am the best editor in the entire world (!) If you want me to lend a hand at writing, compiling or proofreading it let me know here or send me an email and I'll pitch in.

Well, I've been quite busy lately....Rolfe has 9 of the 12 sections now....I hope to work on it while waiting for the cable guy to hook up a cable modem early this comming week. It's not really all that difficult, just time consumming and with the recent holiday's and general wackyness of running my own company its been tough to squeeze out a few hours for the FAQ when I could be relaxing by shooting down some Flux in Jumpgate....:) I promise I'll finish it this week and get it to Rolfe.

I can't wait to read the FAQ, Wrentia.
I'm surprised at Rolfe's amazement that players here are willing to contribute. He knows how much we all want to help make Arcanity a reality.
Along those lines, I can't wait to see what sort of character art comes out of the fan base later on in development. I know once I get my hands on Maya next semester, the first thing I'll do with my spare time is start constructing a wizard model, heavy on the cloth and hair. Of course, I have use CG because I can't draw. :)
I can't wait to see what the pen & pencil artists among us produce.

The FAQ has been finished, and emailed to Rolfe. I'm sure he will get around to posting it after some editing and/or additions. Oh, if printed out its about 17 pages....

Seventeen pages?
Damn! You're good!
It's better than any contribution I've given to the game.

All I did was scour the boards and website and put things into a somewhat coherant order....All of us asked the right questions at some point or another to allow Rich, Rolfe, Lamont, and CK to type out some answers for us. True, typing it up was a bit of a pain, but hey! At least I am a Brick House Warrior Goddess now! Its all so official :) Anyway, thanks to those who asked for a FAQ from time to time. Thanks to the Brick House boys for allowing me to undertake the job. And a special Warrior Goddess prepared Mage-On-A-Stick for Rich who gave me the title here on the boards.
I have set up an email address that is listed in the FAQ so if any of you want me to include additional questions and answers in the future FAQ revisions, feel free to make use of that address...
