Connection to Server Always Times Out

I would really like to get in and play this game, I log in no troubles, load the game no troubles, then when everything shows up on the game screen, Poof! :confused: Connection to server time out. Now I have dsl.. and nothing else using my internet sooo, seems to be there shouldnt be troubles on my end. Any ideas on how I can actually play, and what it is that is causing such vexation? :eek:

hmm... well I'm not sure what's causing that. It sounds like it's taking too long to load or taking too long to draw the first frame. If it's taking too long to draw a frame, the connection will time out. I've seen this problem before and it usually means you either don't have 3D hardware or you don't have openGL drivers installed. If you're sure you have a video card with 3D hardware, it could still be missing openGL drivers. Arcanity needs openGL and some video cards ship with Direct3D drivers only, even though the card may support openGL. My cousin had that problem with a GeForce card recently. He bought the card and installed the drivers that came with it and Arcanity no workipoo because the included drivers didn't include openGL. I don't know how experienced a PC user you are, but if this sounds like it might be your problem, you should get the latest drivers for your video card online. If you're not sure how to do that, you can post as much info you know about your video card here and I'll try and help you get to the latest drivers.

I thank you for your response, and I am looking into my video card settings and what not. I think I should be find, but if not, then I will of course attempt to locate open GL drivers. Let me work on it a lil, and if I still need assistance, will let you know
