Congrats, folks.. the mountains are gorgeous, and the little bridge is very attractive too...

I'm looking forward to whatever information you release next :)

Cheers,

Personally, I liked that fact that you not only had a farmhouse, but a crop, most games seem to forget that NPCs hafta live. Now, I wonder if there's a way to make the crops seasonal? Crop raiding (that one could be hard)?

You guys definatly need a better texture for the tree trunks. The texture for the pine like trees is nice but strange. It might grow on me though.... The mountains and crops are cool. I'm interested to see what the creek water looks like "live". I'm going to study the screenshots further, but these were my first impressions....

I really like the look of the mountains in the first two shots. Looks daunting, kind of scary, like they have something to hide! heh

But anyways, the shots look good! Keep up the great work, hope to see more stuff soon :)

You are having too much fun.

I'll miss all this banter when the game starts. Everyone will be too busy playing to mess with the boards.

Hopefuly not Bel. Would be nice to make a post before a session or after to see what others are exploring or doing in the game.

I don't mean that I will stop posting. Some of the others might loose interest in posting when the game starts.

Maybe we should set up a tavern where all the posters can meet.

Tavern with a purpose. That's a great idea. I've been thinking how sad it is that taverns are always the starting place for big adventures and yet they have no use in games. Maybe taverns could be a good place to find a group too, eh?

Kymeri mac An Iolar

Aye, Rolfe, a tavern would be a good place for adventurers to go to to find people to group with, find out the latest in game rumors and gossip, I would love to run a tavern myself and mayhap I will.

Hey, fellas, how hard do you suppose it would be to allow for sitting in chairs? Pet peeve of mine, I just can't see a warrior wanting to sit indian-style on a wooden stool...

BelDragos

Could you make the taverns be the link to the chat room? I think it would be fitting as that is where the talking would occur.

Slitherrr
11-15-2000, 07:37 PM
Don't see how that would be neccessary in-game, when you could just talk to them while you're in the tavern...

I guess your quote befits me.

My mistake.

Don't worry, I suspect that once Arcanity goes gold, I will be answering FAR worse questions on a regular basis...

How's this one?

If a player has a webcam could they use it for thier characters features?

Butbut, what if the questions drive him mad, what horror could happen to Arcanity with a mad GM? We've GOT to do something now, here's the plan...

We think up the STUPIDEST, MOST ANNOYING questions possible. Questions so stupid that they are practically legendary. We bombard Slitherr with them till he becomes so hardened he is immune. After that, Slitherr will find it easy to deal with mere mortal questions after the questions of godlike stupidity he has had to deal with.

Its your Patriotic Duty as a citizen of Arcanity to join me in this holy quest. I know you've got what it takes, I'm counting on you.

As far as I know, a webcam capture option will not be available for Arcanity (though it would be pretty cool).

We think up the STUPIDEST, MOST ANNOYING questions possible. Questions so stupid that they are practically legendary.

Hah! I've worked customer support before, so technically your questions shouldn't phase me. I don't know if I can say the same for Slitherrr though...

Example Customer Support Call:
Customer - "Is your game in 3D?"
Faucet - "Yes."
Customer - "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. *click*"

The screenshots look great. Please post more when possible, maybe an animated demo at some point too.

I have a friend who works on a technical help line anh the most annoting question he gets is

"Can I get the internet on my computer?"

Hmm...Sounds like its working already. Think its time for Slitherrr's shot of Valium. Bend over Slitherrr, after this you won't care what they ask you.

Looks great, but i would be more interested in how the game will look when alive, with movement like that bubbleing brook....one of my biggest pet peeves about some of the other MMRPGs is that the action in some cases is unrealistic when it comes down to how fast the motion moves ,almost makes it look like a cartoon when a warrior swings his axe to quick ,maybe its just me but when I see someone in melee in realife they dont move at the speed of light like theirs a few frames missing....but thats just my opinion ...some realism is added when the actions are slowed down to a more realistic rate[smile]

Yeah, the speed thing is something that I never liked about AC. The PC's just swing to quick. Mabey its that they have no wind up, one second their standing there, the next POP! Alao, I cant stand that whole standing inside another play thing.
