I was just thinking, wouldn't it be cool if when a bard played a song, the song actually played, as opposed to EQ where you see a bunch of lights and it shows the effects? And maybe you could sell bard songs that just sound pretty, as opposed to having spell-type effects, or you could implement a way for more advanced bards to actually compose songs...

Honestly, we have no plans for bards in Arcanity. If we WERE to have them, yes it would be nice if they actually played music. I played a bard named Fogerty in EQ for most of last summer. He runs fast, but other than that he's useless. Our game design is flexible enough that we could add in bards after release, but I wouldn't count on it unless we get HUGE player demand for them.

Hmm, so what general class-types are you guys planning for? Warrior, thief, cleric, monk, mage, or whatever... By the way, I love the new look, nice and futuristic.

Have you read the new skill section? It's under the game menu. It lists some of the skills we plan to have in the examples.

You got it Cyn, the good ole' days (even if it WAS EQ, it was still cool for the first few hours we played it). I've always had a soft spot for bards, they seem to be the mainstream core class that has the most potential for political involvement... I mean, I can think of more reasons to invite a bard to a king's banquet than I can to invite a big gruff barbarian warrior. Besides, music is our friend.
