You haven't been able to walk strait since you became Arch-Bishop to two Goddesses!!
( he he )
hehe, its really hard, one is a goddess of light, and the other wants to put people on sticks

Mages who annoy monks generally end up tied up and delivered to Warrior Goddesses for "preparation". hehe

Unless they have a Protection From Monks enchantment active.
I'm gald the are people as excited as I am. After reading about the game on this site i just can't wait. I'm curious about "classes" of characters though i hear people talking about mage guilds and monk guilds etc. but havn't read anything about what would actually a mage or a monk, i mean if everyone can learn the same stuff where will the line be?

Wherever you choose to draw it, call yourself what you will. I think that will an advantage to this game.
"I see by the great sign above your head that you are a 15th level wizard!"
Seems contrived and takes away from getting to know the other people in the game. A little mystery will keep us all interested, Ja?
I think by the variety of skills, races and powers overlapping will be quite low.
BelDragos, care to form a joint research on such a spell?
"Protection from the violent laying on of hands, feet or other various appendages"?

You puny mages stand no chance against the fists of a monk!! I will pound you into oblivion.....MUAHAHAHAHA...HA..ha..h*cough**hack*
This monastery is always so dusty..guess it's time to clean again.

I'm sure there is a spell that could remove the dust..just let us set up a ritual circle inside and....

Sure, you are more than welcome to set up any type of ritual circle you'd like in the monastery. Understand though that you will of course have to be "purified" before entering.
All of you mages take off your robes and belt pouches and line up over there while we offer you all up to the Warrior Goddess, those of you she doesn't take go stand by that big statue over there. What's that? Noooo, it's not an iron maiden, really. Well, only one way to find out I guess. Who wants to go in first?

Hmmm...Beldragos and Generic...I think you will be getting little help from a Warrior oriented monestary other than them helping our sister skewer your followers.

Don't worry, I've got a few Deities willing to help me. Besides it takes more than a monk with an iron maiden to take the Elder God of Magic. He forgot that Gods and Goddesses don't need robes and belt pouches to work their magic. They are the Magic.

Gods generally draw their power from the faith of their followers. If they were to run out of followers........... :)

It depends on the system...

How true...
Using a real world mythology example, the greek gods did not draw any power from there followers....
