I was wondering about the whole karma thing and how it worked with the guards of cities that hate the race your playing. I am assuming that there has to be some race conflicts within the game. If you are a lawful person but travel to a town that hates your race would the guards just let you be or try to kill you. Would they stick to their beliefs about your race or because of a good karma standing would they be nice. For example lets say your a dark elf and you get good karma by helping out other dark races, never once helping a high elf. Because of this good karma you have would you then be let in to a high elf city or be KOS because you have yet to prove you a friend to the high elves. Well any thoughts on this would helpful.

There was talk of the Karma system being regional.

Well, certain parts of the karma system would pretty much have to be localized. Firstly, good and evil for any particular society is completely subjective (example: Cannibalism is pretty evil to us, but a good meal to some cultures). Also, being heard of in one area doesn't mean people could distinguish you from mud in another area, there just simply isn't enough communication... I'd assume that if your karma became extreme enough in one area, it'd spill over into other areas, but with a much less effect.
