Okay, there are 5 people on the boards right now and I want to talk to the. I made a mIRC channel named #Arcanity. If anyone wants to talk to me or others come on into the channel. for those of you without mIRC go to http://www.mirc.com and download mirc5.8 or whatever it is now. Then after you get it going type /join #Arcanity and come talk to me!! Hope the devs aren't too mad at me for taking liberty with the name for their game. If so post and tell me and I'll disband the channel. Otherwise (off the top of my head) Wrentia, Kymeri, BelDragos, UBIK, Cynycal, Rich, Rolfe, Slitherrr, please pop in if you see me on the boards so I can give you ops. Sory if I forgot someone. I'll try to get a bot together to monitor the channel as soon as possible.

I don't know much about irc. I'm connected to dal net and nobody else is in #arcanity right now. We'll get this working eventually. I also have a java irc client linked at the bottom of the message boards, but we'll worry about getting that working after we get mirc working for us.

All we really need is for me to get a couple of people in the channel to give ops to, then they can give it to others. I'm looking for a bot right now that will stop flooding, spam, etc. Once i get it together I can leave it in the channel and tell it to op the developers and some of the regulars. then if one of the devs wants to take over ownership of the channel I'll happily give it over.

If you specify which servers the Arcanity channel is on, you won't have any trouble meeting up with everybody else.

To be more specific, you can name the server name (eg. irc.2600.net), and the port #, usually 6667. Some of the more common servers are Dalnet, EFnet and Undernet with Undernet being the largest (at last check) and possibly the easiest for most people to get on to.

You might have better luck getting everyone on the the same page.

Server is on dal.net and so far I have UBIK and BelDragos opped. I'd like to catch the developers online too and get them SOped. Also, a developer chat might be nice if they have time, we could scedule it for a weekend or something. It'd be nice to be able to ask a few questions. I'm sure we all have them.

I'm on DalNet all the time. I'm all for a dedicated room for Arcanity.

Yup, that's the one. I set it up as #Arcanity, I don't think it's case sensitive though.

Okay, I now have the channel configured a little better, I have a link back to brickhousetrading.com there as well as a bot in the channel named Arcanity. He's set to kick out text flooders, spammers and people using bad language. I'm still working on some other settings and expect that after I get home from work this afternoon that I should be able to finish up fiarly quickly. Look forward to seeing you all in there. :)

Also if you want to get on the same server as the bot and myself it is twisted.ma.us.dal.net, though any dal.net server should work just as well.

All of the Dal Net computers are in the same virtual network. So any server should work fine. Altho for the past few weeks I never see anyone come into that room. However, just today I saw Wrentia pop in then out. Didn't even stop to say hi :(

I'm in that room as much as possible as I have been hanging around in DalNet again like I used to. So if someone comes in they'll have someone to talk to :)

I had the same problem. But I can connect via the European DalNet servers, so you might want to try that.
