Are you going to allow spells or other effects that allow players to fly? There can be flight spells, magical cloaks, flying mounts, brooms, Ect...

i think if they did allow flight, then you would become very vounrable to archers and such, since you would be to busy flying you couldnt attack....

Ya, we've talked about that lots and I'm pretty sure we're going to have flight in eventually. It won't likely be in at release, but we're building everything with flight in mind (ie collision detection is 3D not 2D).

Just curious, since collision detection will be 3D and not 2D, would this allow for an actual use of (gasp) tactics? I'm sure it has been brought up before, but I'll give an example of what I mean. In EQ (shudder), I was able to climb up to a rooftop in Qeynos. From there I began to attack guards (with spells). Well, since the coding in EQ sucks, the guards simply attacked me from the ground (with swords). Also, NPCs could go through walls to prevent "exploits." So...basically, would it be reasonable to assume that an advantage could be gained by position in Arcanity? (ie a "low-level" archer hides in a tree and picks off wandering critters) If the critter could climb the tree, fine, but hopefully, they won't be allowed to do the stuff allowed in EQ. Anyway, could one of the staff members (or someone informed) give me an answer on this?
