Yeah whats the deal with ICQ, the first time I logged onto it someone sent me a message about britney BJ's, and then seconds later a "15 year old girl" ask me if I wanted to check her out at some website!!! Ah, the darker side of Kintoun emerges. I wonder if certain Gods or Goddesses of Light are going to be very happy with this. And about those messages, after a while it will get less if you use your ignore list correctly. I now have an ignore list of about 35, and I hardly get unwanted messages anymore.

Whew!!! I think I got everyone, man some of you folks have really long numbers:) hehe.. I guess I have had icq longer than anyone else.. /emote sticks out her tongue:) Heres some tips for the newest of ya...

yes you too can stop those pesky ads and the popups and mass letters:) its all in the preferences and security section of Icq:) First thing you should do.. is switch from simple mode to advanced, then, expecially you slitherr, should go into security and privacy and set it to where you have to authorize who gets to put you on their icq list.. or else you run the risk of being flooded with crap from people you have never heard of. Drag anyone who sends you crap already to your ignore list.. and you will never have to hear it again. While you are on the ignore list tab check the box that says 'do not accept multi recipient messages from ""people not on my list"' I also have email express turned off for the same reason. That stops the p0rn messages:) Next may I suggest that you turn off announcements in the preferences section, that will stop the stupid webpage and the tiny announcement box from icq.
