Sorry bout this but there has to be evil in this world....what would the world be without people like Motre, me, etc. You know what i meen.

What are the punishment if there are any for extensive pking?
Anyone has any ideas bout this?

I can see the pic. And I am not evil. Okay, so I am. Sue me.
That doesn't mean I am going on mindless killing sprees, PKing newbies left and right, causing a veritable slaughterhouse, painting the streets red with blood. No, I'm more subtle than that. If I choose to manifest my powers of evil in my character, I would go about in a much more subtle and intricate way. But maybe I won't be evil, but just chaotic or insane. Who knows?

Morte's actions may sometimes be evil, but that is only because it is the requirments of his position as the Harbinger of Evil. Similar to the way that some people in customer service may act kind to the customer... but in actuality want to jump over the counter and strangle the customer, heh heh. Morte is actually a really good guy, err skull. But don't rub him the wrong way, else you'll have one vengeful skull, and a angered healer on yer arse.

The FAQ covers this quite a bit, and we always reccommend this to everyone new here to read it. PVP will be almost completely hands off. The only penalties for PVP will be either brought down by other players (thru them voting you evil, or killing you themselves). And once someone has been deemed evil enough most towns NPC's will make sure your head is on display near the gates.

Aye Iggut, there will be no artifical restraints on Pks in Arcanity. Although there will be conscequences for being Pk. Arcanity will have a player influenced karma system. If you do enough evil deeds and are reported by players as such your life will get harder as prices raise or you become unwelcome in certain town. Also, there will be the ability of players to post bounties on you if you have pk'ed them and others players being able to kill you for the bounty without reprecussions and if your rep gets bad enough that the local authorities take notice of you they could send out NPC bounty hunters that don't quit till the jobs done.

Having NPC bounty hunters after you is quite a problem for any character, as the only way to get rid of them permanently is to kill them, and it would probably be very hard to do that without raising suspicion and having more Bountyhunters sent after you. Or you can always try to buy them off.

Ok the only thing to say here is sweet. There system is great...i'm looking forward in killing those npc bountyhunters....errr...i meen.........nnoooothing :)

You forgot about the negative Karma ratings effect on prices and services that NPCs provide for us. The worse your reputation, the less likely they will deal with you. They might give you lower prices for things you are trying to sell or inflate your costs. Gangs of NPCs weilding pitchforks might chace you from cities and the notice goes out that you are fair game for anyone to bring back "dead or alive".

Personally I don't think it is worth the thrill of PKing. I will be in the pack hunting and I will urge all the members in my Guild to participate.

He isn't evil, he's just efficient. You could call it a pre-emptive strike. And of course, if I see you, or anyone else for that matter, killing people without good reason, I will hunt you and eviscerate you and leave the corpse to rot. It's nothing personal, people who do that just have to die a painful death.
