So what kind of monsters do you have in mind?

Well, we should probably like to shy away of using the term "monster". That implies that their only purpose in life is to be at the receiving end of your broad sword. I like the term NPC better. That implies that you have a chance to interact with them in other ways besides just combat. Of course, it will vary. If you find yourself the target of a goblin ambush, then there isn't too much you'll be able to do about it besides defend yourself. But in general, all beings have a purpose that is not necesarilly just combat related. For example, every animal you see won't beeline for you. In real life, are animal just attacking you all over the place as you pass them? I didn't think so. It's a rare occurance, and when it does happen, it's usually either because they thought you were something else besides human or becuase you pissed them off by getting too close to their cubs, etc. Animals are just a small example, but the idea is that mobs are more than just sword fodder.

Minotaurs are, in fact, a playable race. Lamont is working on some concept art for Minos, it should be ready any time here.

Orcs and goblins are welcome in any RPG, I think. They are the "old standards". Expect to see them in Arcanity.
