Did anyone see Frasier last night, Tuesday the 29th of May? The episode was called "The Great Crane Robbery". He invites some fellow that lives on the floor below to see his apartment and the guy loves his furniture so much that he runs out and buys exact replicas of everything in Frasier's place. Frasier can't stand it, so he runs out and buys all new furniture. He gets his new furniture in place, sits down, and hits play on his new stereo system to get a feel for his new living room.

WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE SONG THAT PLAYS!!!!!???? I MUST KNOW!!!!!!!

It's all acoustic, sounds like only guitars if I remember right. It was also in a movie soundtrack I think. I have to know the name of the song. I must have that song. Please help!!!

I'm going on virtually no knowledge of the show here, but a recent movie (With Bruce Willis, I think?) prominently featured the song "Classical Gas" by Mason Williams. It's acoustic with some orchestra. Even if it's not what you're looking for, check it out. Great song.

Rolfe, I would suggest going to a Frasier fan site and posting a question about it there....those fan sites have all that silly info about shows....

OH MY GOSH!!!! VILK, You're a madman! That's insane! How in the hell did you do that? You didn't see the episode of Frasier that I was talking about, I believe you made that very clear. Well then it's an amazing coincidence or else you're psychic (I'm leaning toward the latter explanation myself). I'm still utterly amazed. I was pretty confident that "Classical Gas" wasn't going to be it, so I put off looking for "Classical Gas" until just now. Well that's the song. The Frasier version was completely acoustic if I remember right and the fidelity and headroom on the song was incredible. I'm sure it was a very recent, most likely digital version of the song. Nevertheless, it's the same song. You're incredible. Wow, thanks.

I was sure that I wasn't going to hear that song again until 2 years down the road when I was watching some movie that I'd already seen and it played. Maybe in the meantime I'd hear it in a supermarket or a department store and I'd start yelling and running through the isles going "what song is this? Please!!! Anybody! What song is this?" And they'd escort me out and tell me to please not return. There'd be lots of torturous teases like that one until I happened to finally get the name of the song watching that "Bruce Willis" movie on video 2 years down the road.

Well, thanks to Kintoun for welcoming me to the boards and an extra big thanks to Dyson for turning me on to this place. Oh, and to Rolfe: If you live on (*Squeezes eyes and presses hand to forehead*) 27 Jackson Drive, Memphis, Tennessee, then I believe you have the answer to your coincidence/ESP question.

Enjoy,
