The travails of Typoboy

It has come to my attention that a number of members of this forum were less than enthusiastic about the actions of Nakhn, aka Typoboy. I have therefore taken it upon myself to more accurately map out these negative emotions. The main issues that have arisen are abuse of the English language and polution of the forum with inane messages (ie. spamming), which the author claims are funny. The poll I created is meant to provide accurate data on the feelings the members of this forum have on the subject. I must therefore kindly request Nakhn to refrain from voting in this poll, to keep the gathered data as accurate as possible.

This is unbeliavably cruel and evil. I think it's funny.

Maybe it will get Nakhn to stop, slow down, take a deep breath, and realize that we think he should posts with valuable information in them.

And Nakhn, you take things personally, but try not to take this TOO personally. We like to do mean and evil things..

And I'm not bothered by his english. I mean, we've seen worse. What was that guy who just popped up, shouted, 'me gdo fo sadows1' and it took us some time to tranlate into, 'I am the God of the Shadows.' He quite because we were mean..

ANYWAY- Nakhn, I'm not offended by your bad typing, but your age has nothing to do with it. I know 11 year olds who type better then I can (And I don't make typoes). Once again, I am not offended, but others are. So just calm down, and try to type one word at a time, instead of post as MANY POSTS AS POSSIBLE AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.

I've said this before, Nakhn, you want respect, and that's obvious. Please, try to earn it by giving us well thought out ideas, and not spam-a-minute jumble.

I'd keep going to but its boring, i've proved that alot of your proof isn't proof. Alot of those things are perfectly fine with things.

Although Nakhn ( hi Nakhn, not (yet ?? hehe) meant as a flame just pointing out something :-) once in while puts in some decent issues and some tolerable answers. I do get the feeling he tends to post a bit to much garbage. This is cluttering up the message board to the point where someone just doesn't bother to read some treads because there are 20+ unusable statements in the thread. You could miss some other interesting stuff because of this clutering of the board.
I don't know what the reason behind this is (like to see the yer message # go up? like the sound of yer own typing?).
But please don't post if ye have nothing to say (at least on the player and dev boards) and keep to the afore mentioned decent posts and we'll all live happily ever after :-)

ps: Nakhn yer not the only one guilty of this, but yer decent/garbage ratio is worse than the rest.

Actually I think Nakhn is funny on occassion, and he has contributed as well. I do feel he over posts though. However Talka, a lot of your posts lately have been flames at Nakhn. I in the past have contributed norhing but a funny interlude to a post, at least I thought it was funny....(/em beats Talka about the head with her sticks).

A full third of Nakhn's posts the last few days have been in defense of people flaming him. You can hardly blame someone for wanting to defend themselves, especially when people are totally ripping him.

Now we all know flame wars are a pain in the ass, it doesn't matter who starts them, or why, but no opinions are changed and we just get a bunch of silly messages.

Talka and others....we don't need a flame war erupting.

Nakhn - My only problem is the huge amount of typos. I don't mind slang shortcuts that much, but when you typo a slang shortcut you defeat the whole purpose. Put it this way, as a business owner, if I recieved a resume from you with all those typos it would be in the trash before I could even remember your name. You are presenting yourself to us on these boards with your posts. Based on your posts alone I would surmise that you are about 12, hyperactive, lazy when it comes to real work, confrontational, argumentive, and unable to concentrate on one thing for an extended period of time.

THIS IS NOT MEANT AS A FLAME. This is meant to show you how you are perceived through your posts. Any idiot can type 80wpm with the amount of typos you have, its not all that impressive. If the above isin't true then you need to do something to change the perception. Something that is NOT posting about how you aren't those things.....

A majority of the regular posters here are adults with full time careers. For the last year we have contributed to a community of like minded people in a fun, informative, and peaceful manner.

I am disapointed that some have flamed you for the last week, but I also have to admit that you contributed to it as well.

Flame wars suck, and I am trying to nip this one in the bud.
So the people flaming Nakhn should refrain, and Nakhn needs to realize how he is perceived and do something about it. Nakhn has added to some of the threads, and I percieve that behind my perception of him lies a fairly intelligent youth. I am hoping he is intelligent enough to realize that to become part of a community, you must conform to it.

We all have our annoying traits, and we all know how easy it is for one thing about a person to tick us off. It's why we act differently in different situations. If I had talked to the Bank Loan people the way I talk to my friends I probably would not have gotten the loan to start my own company.

The reason I'm mad at him, however, is because he refuses to take advice.. we've given him warning after warning, to which he replied things such as, "I'll do what I want," and, "I have the Freedom of Speech." All we wanted was to warn him that if he doesn't stop, he won't be respected. And, in all truth, I don't respect him, but I'll let him post however he wants, and I'll try my best to read them too.

Words are more trusted then actions. A criminal may stop doing crimes, yet he will still be considered a criminal. Another criminal who agrees to stop, may one day be forgiven.

I've considered it, and find myself in complete disagreement. :)

People can say anything they like (and usually do); however, it is one's actions that people use in determining their worth. Your "criminal" example, though elegant sounding, doesn't really make sense (would the second be forgiven if he stops committing crimes? Then both are the same, save one speaks up about his newfound innocence. Or does he ask forgiveness while continuing to pursue his larcenous ends? In that case, of course he's not going to be forgiven. And who's the say the first WILL still be considered a criminal? If he commits acts of good, people will re-evalute their opinion of him. And even if not, nobody who didn't know he was originally a criminal would think he was- should he move to another town, or somesuch).

Let me offer up this counter statement for "consideration:"

If I repeatedly stab someone while saying "I mean you no harm," would they really believe me?

Erhm, when says he's gonna stop, he stops. All I'm saying is that, if you *say* you're going to do something, and then do it, it works better then just doing it. In this case, saying you WON'T do it, and then doing it, is pretty bad. This whole analgy thing is giving me a headache, so I'm gonna stop now....
