Hiya im playing Ultima Online now, and i have alway loved being an evil char.

So i have a few questions about some criminal acts.

- Looting (will it be like UO, where you get flacked and other can kill you)

- Stealing (im quit sure stealing will be a skill, but have you been thinking of dectectives, and how will the stealing skill be working? can you steal from others, can you use disques)

- Upon a Pk'ers death will he have any penalties beside going to prison, like stat/skill lose?)

Just my 2 cents for now.

Utorian murdere of Drachenfels (UO)

Hey Lodahl, sorry about the response delay, we've been working hard on our 3D engine.

(1) We haven't decided on looting yet, but you definitely won't lose ALL your stuff when you die.

(2) You will be able to steal from merchants, perhaps other players... but we'll have to limit this somehow. We really haven't been worrying too much about thief skills yet.

(3) No, there won't be any stat/skill loss

I'd almost like to see stages of evilness, with stages of penalties if caught. Anything from prankish behavior to mass murder being possible. Perhaps I good set lose a wild wolf in a village somewhere to scare the inhabitants (and maybe raising some kind of Infamy stat). Later when I am further into my evilness I could sneak my way into a good kings castle, summon a lich, and let it start roaming the halls....Finnally I could maybe contract through the Assassians guild to poision the town water somewhere in such a way that NPC's start dying (no exp of course but lots of infamy). Perhaps being lucky enough to kill off the merchant who sells magical herbs for those pesky goody goody healers....And those healers now have a long way to travel to get their needs until the Clerical Merchants get around to sending another person out to that town.

Thoughts?
